Ogni anno l’ERC seleziona e finanzia su base competitiva i migliori ricercatori, di ogni nazionalità ed età, affinché possano gestire progetti all’interno di laboratori europei. Ad oggi, l’ERC ha finanziato circa 9.000 ricercatori e oltre 50.000 ricercatori post-doc, dottorandi e altro personale che lavora nei rispettivi gruppi di ricerca.The importance to invest on young promising researchers through ERC grants is one of the main topic of the interview with the European Research Council President, Jean-Pierre Bourguignon. Every year, it selects and funds the very best, creative researchers of any nationality and age, to run projects based in Europe.
